Knight's Hill Medical Centre was set up in 1997 by Dr Norman Murphy and Dr Fergus O'Connell. Both of these doctors had been in single handed practice here in Mayfield since the early 1970s but in order to improve the services they provided and to do so in a professional environment they combined their resources and re-developed the old residential building Dr Murphy had been practicing from. As a result Knight's Hill Medical Centre is a spacious, fully wheelchair accessible, fit for purpose Family Medical Centre.
