To lubricate dry, itchy, burning eyes caused by environmental conditions, injury to the eye or eye surgery. HOW DOES IT WORK? Hylo-Tear eye drops provide a long lasting lubrication for treating all symptoms of dry eye. Normally one drop of HYLO-TEAR ® three times a day can be instilled into each eye. If you use HYLO-TEAR ® more frequently or if your symptoms persist or worsen for more than one week after first use, please consult your Eye Specialist or doctor. HAZARDS & CAUTIONS Consult your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking, have recently taken or might take any other medicines, complementary therapies or if you have a medical condition. This medicine may not be suitable for you if you have a medical condition or taking any medications such as those listed in the Patient Information Leaflet. Please refer to the Patient Information Leaflet for further warnings, precautions, side effects and instructions for use for this product. Storage: Do not store above 25 °C. HYLO-TEAR ® must be discarded 6 months after opening. To help you remember the container label has a space where you can note the date that the product is first used. Do not use beyond expiry date.

The surface of your eye is covered by a thin layer of tears, called the Tear Film, which protects, nourishes and lubricates the eye. Your tears are protected by a thin oil layer to help reduce evaporation and prevent tears from running down your face. Tears are produced by several systems, and if any part of these systems break down, it can result in a reduced quality or quantity of tears. Tear replacement with eye drops is traditionally considered a mainstay of dry eye management. HYLO-Dual contains a natural occurring substance called Sodium Hyaluronate, which replenishes the tear film, and Ectoin, which helps stabilise the tear film. A stabilised tear film with a healthy oil layer offers protection from allergens and tear evaporation.
