Paralink 180mg Suppositories offer effective relief from pain and fever, containing the active ingredient paracetamol. This medication, presented in a smooth, tapered cylindrical form, is designed for rectal administration, making it suitable for children who may find oral medications difficult to swallow. The product is contained within a box. Each box contains 10 suppositories with each suppository containing 180mg of paracetamol. The suppositories are indicated for treating pain and fever associated with conditions like colds, flu, headaches, rheumatism, and teething. They can also be used post-operatively. For children aged 3 months to 1 year (5-10kg), the recommended dose is half a suppository. Children aged 1-3 years (10-15kg) should receive one suppository, while those aged 3-6 years (15-20kg) can be given one and a half suppositories. The medicine is for rectal use only. It is recommended to leave at least 6 hours between doses, or as directed by a healthcare professional, and not to exceed 4 doses in any 24-hour period. It is advisable to consult a doctor or pharmacist if treatment is required for more than 3 days. Before administering, ensure the child has emptied their bowels if necessary. The child can be positioned on their side or front for comfort. Hands should be washed before and after administration. To use, tear a suppository from the strip, peel it from the plastic wrapping, and gently insert the pointed end into the rectum. Keep the child still for a minute or two after insertion.
