Rich with aromas of cherry and brambles with a hint of spice. On the palate, it has flavours of raspberry, blackberry, blackcurrant and notes of star anise and white pepper. Full-bodied with soft tannins and a long finish.
Region: California
Vintage: 2022.
Style: Full-bodied, fruit-driven red wine.
Grapes: Zinfandel
Fermentation: The grapes underwent a pre-fermentation cold soak to extract deep colour. Fermentation took place in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks with regular "punch-downs" of the cap to integrate tannins.
Filtration: A small portion of the wine is aged in seasoned French oak barrels to add a subtle spice, while the majority remains in stainless steel to preserve fresh fruit character. It is lightly filtered before bottling to ensure stability.
Alcohol: 15%
Farming: Certified Sustainable (CSWA - California Sustainable Winegrowing Alliance). DeLoach works with grower partners who focus on soil health and water conservation.
Allergens: Contains sulphites.
Pairing Suggestion: Excellent with wood-fired pizza (especially with olives and fresh basil), barbecued ribs, hearty pasta with mushroom sauce, or aged cheddar cheese.
A sophisticated, high-altitude Chardonnay that balances power with restraint. It is bright and energetic, offering a complex nose of lemon pith, white nectarine, and grapefruit with subtle notes of ginger snap and cashew. The palate is precise and textured, showing remarkable tension and a long, saline finish.
